Etosha Safari Camp is bright, breezy and fun! Its 50 compact and comfortable chalets centre on a vibrant communal area that is home to the Okambashu restaurant and Oshebeena bar, which takes its inspiration from Africa’s real-life and highly popular shebeens or taverns (sometimes with live music by talented local musicians). There is also a circular swimming pool that resembles the farm dams often found throughout Namibia.
The chalets come in 2-bed, 3-bed or 4-bed options and are all the same size. Air conditioning keeps you cool when the temperatures climb – or warm when they drop!
Etosha Safari Camp is just 10 kilometres / 6 miles from the Andersson Gate entrance to Etosha National Park, allowing you to be first ‘in’ at sunrise and last ‘out’ at sunset for a fall-day game drive. The camp also arranges nature walks and be sure to bring your binoculars for birding.
ACCOMMODATION
Etosha Safari Camp provides budget-friendly accommodation on the national park’s doorstep. Each colourful chalet has everything you need for an easy stay including a veranda with chairs, a hairdryer, a safe for your passport, camera, jewellery and cash, and a beverage station with tea and coffee so you can always enjoy a cuppa whenever you feel like it.
There are 50 chalets in the following layouts:
37 standard twin rooms with twin beds (two single beds that can be pushed together to make a double or separated)
3 standard triple rooms with 3 single beds (two can be pushed together to make a double bed. This room type is ideal for a couple with 1 child)
10 standard family rooms have double bunks beds (beds cannot be separated. Parents generally sleep below and children above)
